What Am I Looking For?
The false self knew there was an eternal Joy somewhere...
It simply needed to find out where!
From childhood, the false self was looking for something. Not knowing what it was, but remembered some happiness and joy somewhere. The false self became goal-oriented and tried to set goals on a specific timeline to reach them.
In year 1995, my body faced breast cancer. This event was a major turning point. After the recovery from the disease, I decided to take care of my body a little better. I became a volunteer for the American Cancer Society for the past 16 years. This gave the false self a sense of "me,” gaining lots of satisfaction and self–worth. The emptiness was still there. It was getting more intense, until I decided to do something about it. I found out that the path for the Truth is inward.
The self turned inward, in the cocoon, and tried to discover the Truth.
Remember, all spiritual teachers are meant to make us retrace our steps to our Original Source within. There is nothing to achieve, nowhere to go, but give up our false identity with our body, mind and emotions. Instead of doing this, we grasp some false identifications and believe happiness lies elsewhere. This is a big mistake.
