Try to be so "mindful” of whatever you are doing.
If you are walking, pay attention to every step that you (the inner silent watcher) is taking with lots of awareness. Feel every step that goes back on the floor and feel it. When you are eating, become all mouth. Fell the taste of food at every bite and try to be there 100%. When you are taking the shower, feel the silent watcher taking the shower. It feels the warmth of the water. Enjoy the pleasure of water coming through you body and be there 100%.

The other method is to be a watcher of your thoughts.
Jump out of your thoughts and just be a observer of your thoughts. Do not judge them. Do not analyzed them. Just watch them. By and by they will quiet down and you feel the joy and ecstasy of the present moment.

Accept the "Is ness" of the Present moment. It is what it is. Let it be....
The present moment may not be totally pleasant; however, we need to learn to be a watcher towards it. We need to let the light of our presence be there to hug us and support us. At that unpleasant moment, we need to jump and hug our inner silence and let that hold us just like a little child who jumps in the lap of her mother at the time of danger.
Just be a watcher. Drop the idea that you are a person.
Accept the totality. Whatever the moment brings. Enjoy the pleasure and forget it. Suffer and feel the pain and forget it. Do not carry it on Horizontally. You are not the pleasure or pain that happened to you. There is no should or shouldn’t. Accept what comes to you with open heart.

About our feelings, we can also be an observer of our emotions.
When we have any emotional pain, this could be from the things that just happened or from the past some pains will come to the surface. These pain are trapped energy in our body. Usually they are asleep; however, sometimes they come to the surface. The best way to handle them is not to engage with them with your thoughts, we need to just watch them with no judgment or analyze them.
Just put your hand on your heart and try to feel the pain. Do not be afraid of the pain.
By and by you will see the pain dissolves like a snow ball under the rays of the warm sunshine.
*** Remember: No Exercise in your spiritual development could be more important than repeatedly bringing yourself back to the Present Moment Here and Now.***
***Remember: Be aware of yourself as (Silent watcher, awareness), and all else will be known.***
***Remember: Hold on to the Self as(Silent watcher, awareness), even during mental activity.***
